Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, even more elderly than usual suffer from loneliness. Residential care centers are closed off from the outside world and many residents are isolated. To counter this, we have set up a “4G coffee break”. A number of residential care centers have tablets with a Skype account, so that you can video call with the elderly. In this way the residents can still have social contact.
Would you like to drink a 'digital' cup of coffee with a lonely elderly person? You can register via our volunteer agenda. When you are registered you will receive a digital confirmation with instructions for the call.
To help you get started, we have written down a number of questions below that you can talk about during a call. But of course feel free to give it your own twist. The most important thing is to give each other extra attention in these times.
