Activity

On this Monday afternoon you will start at 14.15. First there will be some time for coffee and tea for the residents. After this you will hep to polish the nails of the residents so they look their best. The residents like to have a chat and now the can relax and be taken care of as well.

Focus group & impact

The residents' well-being is priority for Carel van den Oever and as a volunteer you can make a valuable contribution. Be prepared that the elderly do everything at a different pace than you are used to. It is also possible that not all of the residents speak English very well. It is important that you take your time with them. Some of the elderly suffer from dementia and it can be hard to communicate with them. If you take this into account, both the elderly and you will enjoy the afternoon a lot!

Location

The residences of residential care center Carel van den Oever lays in the city district Escamp, a quiet neighboorhoud with a lot of nature. In Carel van den Oever elderly live whom need intensive care in a protected environment 24 hours a day.
